Our televisions are more than likely working overtime to keep us entertained. And while Tiger King gives us a lot to talk about in our weekly Zoom Calls,
with quarantine
orders likely to last at least a few more weeks, he may need more, ahem,
reassuring ideas soon.

While new shows and movies are continually fun, there is
something quite wonderful about sitting down to watch a golden old movie or
movie we remember from our childhood that evokes comforting feelings of
nostalgia. And since we're all talking about moments of beauty here at Byrdie,
we thought we'd ask some of our favorite beauty designers which movies they find
particularly moving during this time, as well as the moments of beauty that
inspired them the most. Personally, although I wouldn't be getting a perm
anytime soon, I really appreciate the powerful hair featured in the 80s photo,

very soon), think of one of these 10 heartwarming movies with some truly iconic
moments of beauty. Popcorn, optional (but recommended).

"I have so many moments of beauty in the movies that I
love, but I think the only character I have to mention is the character of
Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I feel like that resonates more ...
in my style these days. It's so soft. and pretty, with the softest layer of
mole on the eyelid. Cheeks in particular always look so fresh to me, which is
what I look for with my clients in real life. " - makeup artist Kale Teter

"I always studied Cher's makeup when she was a child
and imagined creating the lines, shapes and details. She looks a bit like my
mom, so I guess she was always a look that I did. I found it extremely
beautiful." - makeup artist Nikki Wolff

"My favorite movie to inspire me with makeup would be
Valley of the Dolls, circa 1967. I think it's one of the most striking movies
for beauty. The glamor! The hair was big! It was combed! Sharon Tate She was a
shining young star! at the time and the shape she gave her eye was amazing.
There was a scene where she was sick in bed or about to die, and she had the

"One of my all-time favorites, for the glamor and the
way it inspired me, it wasn't just about the way the makeup was applied, but
the theory behind it. Death Turn into Her with Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep is
a movie that I grew up with. I can't see the title of that movie or any image
without it stirring up feelings of nostalgia. And that's where we are now, in
terms of the magic potion they fought so hard for, now we know. which is all
about fillers and Botox. Death Becomes Her is a classic, while Valley of the
Dolls is something everyone should refer to, file and reference, or even try to
recreate. " - Sir John /
