The Best Movies to Watch for the Beauty Moments, According to Makeup Artists

While new shows and movies are continually fun, there is something quite wonderful about sitting down to watch a golden old movie or movie we remember from our childhood that evokes comforting feelings of nostalgia. And since we're all talking about moments of beauty here at Byrdie, we thought we'd ask some of our favorite beauty designers which movies they find particularly moving during this time, as well as the moments of beauty that inspired them the most. Personally, although I wouldn't be getting a perm anytime soon, I really appreciate the powerful hair featured in the 80s photo, Working Girl, starring Melanie Griffith and Sigourney Weaver; Byrdie's Editorial Director Faith Xue watches the mid-90s road trip movie To Wong Foo, Thanks for everything! "My favorite movie to inspire me with makeup would be Valley of the Dolls, circa 1967. I think it's one of the most striking movies for beauty. The glamor! The hair was big! It was combed! Sharon Tate She was a shining young star! at the time and the shape she gave her eye was amazing. There was a scene where she was sick in bed or about to die, and she had the most perfectly cut crease. 60s with the app most beautiful mascara. I remember I had the flu back then, that was about five years ago and we were rehearsing for a Beyoncé show at the Barclays Center for Title and I came to remember that it inspired me to get out of bed and throw it away.

It had the most perfectly cut crease of the 60's with the most beautiful application of mascara.

"One of my all-time favorites, for the glamor and the way it inspired me, it wasn't just about the way the makeup was applied, but the theory behind it. Death Turn into Her with Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep is a movie that I grew up with. I can't see the title of that movie or any image without it stirring up feelings of nostalgia. And that's where we are now, in terms of the magic potion they fought so hard for, now we know. which is all about fillers and Botox.
